New to dirt...questiOns

Hi all - I'm the new guy.

I am new to dirt and have ridden on the pavement for a year or two and want to progress to off-roading. I am 6'4" and weigh around 180 and am looking for something that has enough pep to get me around and do some adventuring. Nothing to serious (i.e. jumps or anything)

I've been looking into KTM 450SXs, Husky TE450 and (i know it's old) the OR 390 (1977), Honda CFR 450s and 250s.

What do you all think? I am completely open to suggestions and want something to learn on for a while. I'd also like something that's possibly street legal(able), so i can take it on dirt on the weekends and throw street tires on for the week or something(not sure how involved that is).

Like GoldDrum said, you need to fill out the sticky.

You also may want to do some research on this site about different bikes, as the bikes you listed are quite different.
