New to dirtbikes

I'm looking for a dirtbike but I want to know what size to get. I am 6'4" and about 260lbs. I want something fast and something I can jump. Can u give me some recommendations? And I want something that can take a beating cause I will rag on it

1. About 6'3" to 6'4" about 260lbs
2.very aggressive
3.mostly with friend in trails but sometimes home made tracks
4. I have ridden a few times
5. Dont think about it now with my first bike but maybe once I get used to it
6. Will work on bike mostly myself and a little with friends
7. 2 stroke
8. Yes several and every type of bike
9. For a first bike no more than 1200 to 1500$$

try looking at some 250 2 stokes and or look at some of hondas 450's they are some pretty nasty bikes

My friend isoffering me a rm250 with some work done to it its a 1990 or 91 with a brand new motor and he says all it need is new plastic on it and he said the 03 plastic will go on it. He will sell it to me for 800. Is that good? Or should I keep looking

I would recommend something like a Yamaha YZ-250

If you can manage to avoid killing yourself while you learn to ride it then it will be all the bike you need. You can pick up a 10 year old bike close to your price range, but to get one in decent shape you might need to increase your budget just a bit.
