NEW YEARS DAY Birthdays

I find it interesting the are a ton of birthdays today 1-1. I looked yesterday 12-31 and there were only a handfull. Makes me wonder if parents, doctors, and hospitals hold things up so someone can say they have a NEW YEARS BABY. Are there places who still give prizes to the first born of a new year?
