Before you leave....where are your favorite trails? I'm in SE Idaho and love the Heise area. Always looking for new places to go. Good luck in Wisconsin!

I'm outside of Idaho Falls toward Ririe area. We mainly ride the hills/woods around Heise and in Swan Valley. Would like to take a road trip and ride new trails. Been on some tricky trails that have been "humbling" but it just makes me more determined to try harder :-)

Reynolds creek will give you some good sandwashes and fast trails. Blacks creek will give you more ridgetop and oh my god I can't believe I just did that stuff. If you like natural terrain big jumps I know of a place about an hour south of boise.

I'll have to look into that area, we have some trail maps that I would imagine have the area listed. Still have a long way to go in the jumping department, I have a tendency to pshyc myself out instead of just going for it. The jumps I have made were purely accidental and quite funny in the end :-) What's the place called that's south of Boise?

there are many places along hwy. 78 betweenmurphy and grandview, but the place with all the jumps you probably won't find on your trail map. we usually ride there all day and don't see any other people. that's what i like about it so much. nobody to see you screw up. it has all jumps from begining rider to oh i don't think i want to try that one. we have several kids that go with us that love it.

There is a trail along the wisconsin/minnesota border called "gandy dancer" I believe it runs from Osceola to Superior. It's an old railway so it's flat and boring, but there are plenty of play areas along the way to make it worth while. I have,nt run the whole trip because of time and fuel constraints but I'm not above trying again If I can find a way to carry extra gas with me. BTW I ride a yz 125.

Try the Minnesota DNR they have online maps, also www.tctrailriders.org. There is pretty good but sandy riding in Black River Falls WI, they had some nice single track but it is shut down due to litigation. The WI DNR has ATV trails but does not recognize bikes for some reason. You can get and ATV trail pass to put on your bike though. AMA district 23 (MN) has a listing of tracks and they put on trail rides too. District 16 (WI) pretty much useless in this part of WI. The Gilbert MN riding area is nice and the trials by Iron River, WI are awsome. Sorry about this disjointed rambleling, just thinking and typing. :)

use this link http://www.cycle-usa.com/ and scroll down to the bottom you can then click either Minn or Wis and bring up the district info. Great riding area is Arkansaw and another is Hixton both have MX races the weekend of the 26th if you are into MX at all. Both also offer trails with minimal daily cost for riding

The Hixton track has trails? Didn't know that, sounds like a trip to make, the area looks like it would be fun
