Newbie Needing Advice

Well I finally decided it was time to get into dirt bikes. I found a decent deal on a 1990 KDX 200 so I took that. I know it needs rear wheel bearings but I'm just here looking for any trouble spots these bikes have and what maintence I should do before i ride this spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The rear suspension has a bunch of needle bearings that go bad if not kept up. Check them all.

I seem to go thru throttle cables-check both ends for fraying.

Check the KIPS for spoonge build-up.

Check your sag to see if the springs are near right for you-most folks need heavier front springs.

Check the 'new bike' prep on CDave's site. You will want to check the suspension bearings including the swingarm. Also the steering head bearings. Chances of them being ok are about zip. .

Maybe see if the KIPS even works.
