I've really enjoyed reading the posts. Now I need some help. I have a 98 yz400 bought used. FMF set up the suspension for mx (before Pro-Action started doing their work). I don't know what exactly has been done. It performs perfect on the track, but I ride 98.5% woods; (NC woods to be exact) rocks and roots are the norm. The sag is perfect. What needs to be done to soften the action? Also, I really liked the comparisons on the different suspension tuners (Thanx CR LOVER!) If anyone knows who deals what in NC the information would be much appreciated.

You are likely going to require a revalve to provide best performance for your application. MX valving is not usually ideal for wood environment. Give John a call at MX-Tech East ( jcurea@brads.net ), he's in PA, but is a great guy and very helpful. He should be able to point you in the right direction or at least give you some idea of what you are looking at $ wise.
