Hi. It's time for another new bike for the kids. I bought a TTR-90 last year as a learner bike for my 11 year old, who quickly moved up to an RM-65, leaving the TTR to his 8 year old brother. Now it's time for the 8 year old to move up, but there's no way he's ready for the RM, not this one anyway (it's a FS Suzuki team bike with a Rehmert Rocket engine in it that I picked up used with one moto on it). Besides, my 11 year old isn't ready to hand it down.

My 8 year old fits the RM well sizewise though. He's big for his age wearing size 10/12 clothes, about 70-75 lbs and size 5.5 shoes, if that helps.

So I guess my question is, what 4 stroke bike is about the same size as an RM-65 that would be a good bike to learn a clutch on. It seems to be a big step up to the TTR-125 and the KLX/DRZ-125's. And I'm afraid he'd outgrow a XR/CRF-80 in no time. What about the Honda XR/CRF-100? Are they the same size as the 125's.

Thanks in advance.
