The first thing to do is a simple test for spark.

Remove your old spark plug

Put a new spark plug in the spark plug cap and lay it against the cylinder so that the threaded part of the plug is touching the cylinder. Use your hand and push the kick start lever down at a fairly rapid pace. Observe the spark plug. It should be producing a nice big fat blue spark. If no spark is present you probably have an eleictrical component failure, loose connection or corroded connection. Make sure the spark plug cap is pressed securly into the wire and the wire securly into the coil.

Your stater and coil produce the spark, you can take the bike in to a shop and they can test those componants. On an old bike like that chances are the stater is faulty.I do believe they can be rebuilt, but im not sure

check kill switch also as it sends spark to ground and if it goes bad you have
no spark.
The best way to test is just unhook it and see if it runs.If it does then you just
pull the plug wire off to kill it untill you get a new kill switch.
I could give you more ideals, but need to know if you have any spark.
