noise in the top end

hey there was a noise in ym top end an i thought it was the piston but i got a new one in an it is still making a noise so can you guys help me with it an tell me what the noise could be?

Did you replace the piston bearing and wrist pin?

i brought it to my yamaha dealer an they put a new piston , brg ,2 o rings an a gasket

knocking noise in the top end

I just got my bike top end redone in my 2000 yz 125, i put a new piston in 2 o rings and a gasket, but it is still making a knocking noise so would i have to replace the pistion bearings and the wrist pin?

you should ALWAYS replace the pin/bearing. if you had a shop do the rebuild for you i would go kick them in the ass cause they are stupid for not changing out those soimple parts (pin should come with piston kit)

ive wasted a lot of money taking my bikes to dealers, buy a manual and do it yourself the best that you can, you care about wasting your money a lot more than the dealer does.
