Odometer Just Quit?

To check the speedo drive unit just unscrew the cable from the unit and spin the tire. You may have to spin the tire a few revolutions before the drive pin will start spinning. If the pin does not spin the gear Nylon gear is probably stripped. You have to take the wheel off, and pull the unit out. There is a circlip that holds a washer and the gear inplace. you just have to remove the circlip, the washer then the gear. Be sure to clean all the crap out of the unit and but some light grease back in there. You should be good to go in no time. The part number for the gear is 41060-1143, and there is a seal you may want to change while your at it number 92049-1176. Good luck.
