Just thought I'd pass along some info on Time-Sert thread inserts-
I added a new FMF Gnarly pipe, did the clutch over with steel plates and did some other maint today since I'm off.
I order a TimeSert kit, #1215C for oil pans. It's basically an expensive HeliCoil kit. Two buddies recommended it rather than the Heli kit because of the quality of the components.
I got the kit off fleaBay foe 80 bucks, and intended to do one of my kids bikes and a buddies quad with the kit also.
I used it this AM and it worked great. The tools included are definately top end compared to some of the crap I've bought in the past to re-thread holes.
And the Gnarly is a big bottom boost compared to the Fatty I had on there. Overall, a good day tater!!
