i saw on a few shocks a while back and got thingking....

there was a allen head bolt in the top of the shock, now if you were to remove this the nitrogen would escape i assume, but could you fill it w/ oil from this hole, and then just refill your shock w/ nitrogen?

Ohlins have this little bolt. If you removed it it would leak oil. The nitrogen is separated from the oil via a piston or bladder, but there is some pressure on the oil. Removing this bolt would releave this pressure.

This bolt is used on Ohlins shocks to add/remove fluid to correct piston (nitrogen separation piston) height...before recharging with gas.
