This is what we call Spooge! It means you are running rich, ie. you are not burning all of your fuel/oil mixture. Two possible causes:

1. Too heavy of an oil mixture. 40:1 works well for the KDX. What type of oil are you using? That can make a lot of difference.

2. Improper jetting. I would recommend the settings on Jeff Fredette's website. He is Mr. KDX and his settings work great. Click Here for Fredette's Recommendations or you can use the ones on the JustKDX site Click Here for Canadian Dave's Recommendations

All that said, a good 2 stroke oil cannot be trivialized. It really does help to use high quality stuff. Lots of guys like Yamalube, others like Golden Spectro...Lots to choose from. Just don't use crap from Home Depot.

By the way, I forgot to mention. A little spooge is not bad...its normal. But if its heavy, its probably time for an adjustment.

Remember, going with too lean of a mixture can really cause problems too.
