i was wondering if i should do something about this...

i have an fmf sst pipe, and not until a couple rides ago, it has started to leak oil from the joint between the cylinder head and the pipe. i would have dismissed the problem, but im a little worried because it started out of nowhere. is this a problem? more specifically (and this is why i posted in this forum), does this have something to do with my particular pipe?

It has nothing to do with your pipe and everything to do with your jetting which is too rich in one or more of the circuits.

I agree his bike probably suffers from rich jetting. But even so the junction between the cylinder and pipe should not be spooging. If it's spooging there, it's also allowing exhaust gas to blow out there instead of at the muffler. I would check your pipe, springs, gasket, etc.

oh, i thought there might be a connection to the increased backpressure.
