As long as you don't do jumps it should be fine. I mean if you race I would wait, for trails it should be fine. My buddy had oil leaking out of his forks for about a 6 months worth of trails and nothing was damaged when he finally replaced them. I guess it does depend on how bad the oil leak is though cause if you loose all the oil it might be bad

Also, don't forget that fork fluid is murder on your brakes. Doesn't mess 'em up, but you won't be able to stop for crap if it gets on the pads. As long as you don't go for very long on them, you should be ok. It also depends on how much oil you're losing. If it's gooshing out, forget about it. If it's minor, ride it.

if i were you, i'd send your fork off to have the internals cleaned and wore parts replaced, cause it wil probably leak again soon if you dont. i got fluid on my brakes, and it almost impossible to lock up my front brake now even after cleaning it, i kinda like it like that for trail riding anyway, cause i can do down steep hills without having to worry about my front brake locking up and slamming me down to the ground.

leakey fork seals become a real problem only after so much oil leaks out that the forks don't act the same... You can let them leak for awhile before you notice anything (depending on how bad they are)... You don't always notice them getting bad, it's just after you finally fix them that you realise how bad they were... If you can't get them fixed and have to race you could drain them and refill them with the right amount of fork oil, you'll be ok to run a few moto's... You might find that after putting the right amount of oil in there that you'll realise that they are so much better you'll wish you did it long ago... You might realise how bad they got because they have been gradually leaking for some time, but after you fix them you'll feel like you've got new forks, they just feel so good... Check the fork tubes for pitting sometimes they get pitted by flying debree making a seal impossiable (most likley yours are fine)... Sometimes they are really tiny little pits you can hardley see... I don't think fork seals are very hard to fix... I had more trouble supporting the bike than doing the job... Find someone who's done it before or grab a manual and try it... It's the most rewarding repair you can do... 20 bucks for seals, a few bucks for some oil a couple hours of work and then your bike rides so much better and your super stoked on having done it your self...
