Hello all,
Can someone tell me if there is a site that has specs for a 1987 Kawasaki KX80? Specs such as needle size, main jet size, float height, settings, etc. Thanks.

Hey KXTodd,
Thanks for the info - it's a big help. Can you tell me what the stock spark plug is supposed to be and what the gap should be on it? Is it possible to lower the seat height by adjusting the lock nuts on the rear shock either up or down? Thanks a lot!!

I had a '87 KX80 (sold to cousin but still work on it). The stock plug is B9EG (B9ES I ran). The plugs already come pre-gapped for the KX80. Sorry but you can't adjust the seat height by the shock spring but raising the nuts will make the shock softer. Hope this helps ya.

Thanks Durtcycler,
What's the difference on the plugs? Is the B9ES a hotter plug than the B9EG? Appreciate all the help guys.

Nope only difference is the price! B9EG will run a few dollars more then a standard B9ES cause the B9EG is for racing competition and probably are good plugs if you race but for trail riding they are a waste of money. They are both the same heat range.

Heat range system

hotter <-5-6-7-8-9-10-> colder
