Was looking to get a newer kdx since my 94 was the older style but as I was checking out a 2000 kdx it just seemed like the same thing only newer. Is this last generation kdx much better than the 93-94 version?? Thanks, Sorry if this is repetitive but i did search for it first..

I would think the biggest difference is the KX-style perimeter frame and the abundance of aftermarket parts for the 95-up models.

there are alot of parts for the 89-94's and they run just as good. just depends on what you wanna spend on suspension.

I own a '91 and have a 1997 in my garage that I ride every now and then. Truth be told, they feel the same. In fact, my KDX is a lot better sorted out. Spend your money on upgrading your current ride.

I had a '94 and have an '01 now. I like the new frame. I did not like the upside down forks for woods riding. I am old and slow and I have had to modify the forks on the '01 like everyone else, but the newer frame seems to handle better and feels lighter. The engine seems almost identical.
