OLN to Air Arenacross and FMX
AURORA, Ill. (December 30, 2002) - Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division announced today that the National Arenacross Series and the IFMA Freestyle Motocross Series will be featured on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) with an all-new-hour program highlighting both series.
The program will feature thrilling highlights from more than 75 IFMA Freestyle Motocross and National Arenacross events. The new show will also feature personality profiles on the world-class athletes of both arenacross and freestyle.
This exciting new show on OLN will be hosted by longtime motocross enthusiast Robby Floyd and will air Sunday at 6 PM ET and on Friday at 3:30 PM ET beginning January 5. There will be 104 total hours of motocross and arenacross action including 26 hours of original programming.
"This presents tremendous opportunities to give arenacross and freestyle motocross the exposure both series deserve. Delivering the excitement of arenacross racing and the physics-defying spectacle of FMX via 104 hours of original programming over 52 weeks to OLN's 51 million-plus customers is exactly what the riders and industry that support FMX and arenacross deserve. The new television show will showcase both the sport of freestyle and arenacross with more hours of programming than ever before," said Ken Hudgens, vice president marketing, Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports.
Peter Englehart, senior vice president, programming & production for OLN added, "Capturing the raw energy and talent of the athletes who tackle National Arenacross and IFMA Freestyle Motocross into an exciting one-hour program helps to complete the OLN experience. Arenacross and freestyle accomplish the same thing OLN does - bringing outdoor thrills to the comfort of an indoor environment. We're thrilled to add the new program to our lineup."
The leader in adventure TV, Outdoor Life Network (www.OLNTV.com) offers more outdoor recreation programming than any other network. The 24-hour cable network, now available in more than 51 million homes, is the leading source of television coverage of outdoor adventure sports and outdoor leisure recreation.
