Nice shot Brian. Did you use the 300mm F4 for this one?

Thanks, awesome day of racing.

I used a 70-200, and later in the day I used the 300, but have not gotten that fir in the pics yet :)
The 300 makes me a little lazy...sit on my hunting chair and take pics..
the 70-200 makes you want to "work it" :)

Those are awesome shots.

I wish I could afford a decent camera.

hehe, a D50 or D70 and a decent lens could do those.
still, I understand budgets.

Like racing itself, it's up to the racer to make for a good pic.

have lots of "pretty" pics...of riders just loafing throguh the turn :ride:

one big part of the equation is working photog at tracks for long enough that the owners respect you, and know that you will be a some small? part of the tracks perk to the racers.
that's really the hard work part of it, becuase when its real cold or real hot, its easy to want to quit.
And you have to keep doing it, not for the very few sales of pics, but because you want to get the really nice pics of the racers who are putting in a lot of effort, or at least hamming it up for the camera! :ride:

the reason I mention all that..is that is mostly how access and continued access to the track works. thay dont care how much camera you have, so you might think about a good used setup.

It's also a good way to make new friends and met the fast guys ( and fast girls  ).

Man, with all the rain we had I'm surprised it wasn't a mud fest. Great shot! Some of my buddies raced there while desided to stay indoors at te arenacross in Waco. After seeing this pic, I might shoulda reconsidered.
