Just traded for my first dirt bike at the age of 33!...LOL
I always wanted one just never got around to it. Anyway, its a 1981 yz 125. The bike is in awesome shape for the year, and seems to run great. My question is, how much power difference will I see between this bike and a newer model from the late 90's early 2000's? Will there be major differences in suspension, power band, etc...?
I plan to ride this bike all summer, and get to a point where I am good enough to take advantage of the differences in modern technology. Both in power and ridability.
I am 5'09" 160lbs....Have ridden here and there all my life, but never to a point where I owned my own bike. (very little total time).
For now I feel a 125 2 stroke is just right for me, but maybe by summers end I'll want a 250?? :yikes:
Thanks in advance for all your input and opinions,
