These are called "Turkey Runs" in New England. Put on by NETRA, and average 80-100 mile rides. You are given a route sheet just like in an enduro ,only there is no time keeping involved. Just ride at your on pace and have fun. They are also called a "Dual Sport" ride because you need to be registered for the street. At the end of the day you turn in your route sheet and draw a poker hand. There are several prices in each class even trophies. I think there are about 8-10 events put on each year and ama membership is required, alot of fun...try it, you'll like it.
Your closed course poker runs sound like a lot of fun also. :cool:
