Local dealer still has a 05 220 still on the floor. what would be a fair offer. Would rather go new if at all possible, got burned on the last used purchase.

Also, would the 220 be a good way to go for a 175lb intermediate rider in the mtns of UT - local riding is 7000-9500 ft forest service roads/singletrack). he also has a 06 200 on the floor, just think I could score a better deal on the 05.

thanks for the advice!

I bought my 03 left over in 04. I got it out the door for right about $4K. Dealer cost on the 220 was $3839, then I paid tax and title. You may be able to get the 200 for the same price or less than the 220. If I remember right the 200 costs the dealer around $300-$350 less. So on left overs I'd expect to pay mid to high $3K range. Of course, someone will come on here and say they know a place that will send you out the door for $2800 or something, but I've never seen the mystery internet prices that always seem to pop up on forums.

I Paid $3476 plus NY state tax on my New 05 KDX 200.
Dealer showed me his cost which was $3676. I thought this was a very fair deal. I still tried to beat him up more but he would not go a nickle less. I believe he was telling the truth.
Bought the bike in June of 06.

If there are some factory incentives or he willing to take it on the chin you may get it for less. Just depends on how bad they want to move the unit.
