I'll second that... overrev discusion please!!! Seriously... is it like power after the power peaks.... or how long you stay in the power, or the bike falling out of the power. What??? ;)
I believe overrev refers to how long the motor will make useful power
(keep pulling) after it reaches it's peak output. Some bikes fall off quickly and some fall off much more slowly.
I believe what OKKX'er said pretty much sums it up. :thumb:
My KX seems to fall off quickly after it reaches peak.
BRAAAAAAAAPPPPP!!!! And thats pretty much it, shift, repeat process! :p
You can hold a gear longer and still have some power inbetween turns with more overrev. Overrev is useful for those times where it is difficult to shift but you want to keep accelerating.
jjcobra99, what we are referring to is pertaining to the useful powerband (or thereafter) of the motor, not what happens when you rev the motor too far. :)
