I second what Oldguy said about getting a shop to prove the speedo is wrong. Then see about having the court drop the ticket to a non speeding violation. It keeps the points off your record but you still have to pay a fine. In PA the state doesnt tell your insurance company when you get tickets. The only way the IC finds out is if they do a check. They do these ever 3 years or if you change your insurance or vehicle. I've never had a ticket reported on my insurance since i made sure i didnt switch vehicles for 3 years after the ticket.

In case anyone was wondering, the $376 fine was for getting caught on camera running a late yellow. but by statute she could not reduce the fine to less than $203 for those caught on camera.

Dave.

There was a story about a guy that got a ticket sent to him because he ran a red light and got caught on camera. They sent him a photo of the front of his car, showing the license plate and him driving and told him to mail in his fine.

He sent them a photo of a pile of money. They sent back a photo of a pair of handcuffs. He paid the fine.

Aimee.

 Who ya trying to kid here. We all know how you drive. The imprints of my fingertips were probably still in the dashboard of your Honda car when you sold it.

Go to court. Throw yourself at the mercy of the Judge. When he issues the fine. Give them double the amount. Tell them, this is for all the times I got away with it in California. :yeehaw:

Don't give me that scared little old man routine. I've seen you ride a dirtbike, that is far scarier than me behind the wheel of a car! :p

Nobody out there heard of a radar detector?
I was using Nikki's, but radar detectors don't work on airplanes.

Umm, what’s wrong with this picture? If Nikki has a radar detector why does she spend so much time in traffic school?

If it wasn't for that radar detector, I would probably be without a drivers license right now

I usually get hit by the cops who outsmart the radar detector and pull the trigger right as they are on you. For example, late at night, cruising down a dark country road, and once the radar goes "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!" that means pull over - you just got busted.

But it has served as a warning and saved me many of times. Something about just slowing down doesn't work well with me.
