after i cut out my kdx after it has been running fuel leaks very rapidly out of one of the overflow pipes (at least i think). This stops as soon as i turn the petrol off. I dont think it leaks while the bike is running. If somebody come suggest what the problem may be that would be a great help. Could it just be the valve on the petrol tank?

thanks in advance

Your float/needle and seat assembly is hung up in the carb. Clean your carb up paying close attention to the needle and seat area, make sure your float is good (not sinking when it's supposed to be floating on the fuel), reset your float level to specs (no, don't skip this part), and you'll be good to go.

Had the same problem on my bike. Tore the carb down and adjusted the float level and used carb cleaner to clean it up. Also look at the float needle to make sure it's not worn.
