pictures from the coast

Yeah, I need to take the date function off, but here's a few pics from the coast over the last week.

These first two are from what looks like a contrail that got spread out by the wind and developed a bit of a rainbow look. I've never seen anything like this before, so I thought it was cool.

Here's a couple more that I somehow figured out how to get taken through the polarized lens of my sunglasses.

Trust me, neither of these show how vivid this phenomenon was!

this one is kind of cool, the "sea wall" at high tide on Hood's Canal at Kitsap State Park, Washington

The lovely Mrs. Pred on the ferry "Walla Walla" crossing from Edmonds to Kingston on our way to Kitsap State Park.

I couldn't get her to pose in a bikini, Kawidude!

here's some from the Kinzie Battery at Fort Worden State Park. Part of the "Triangle of Death" that was supposed to keep first the Confederates, and later other "hostile naval forces" out of the Puget Sound.

I keep thumbing through them and find some more that catch my eye and strike me as something that might be worthwhile.

this is part of the beach at Fort Worden. The full size one looks much better. If this keeps up, momma and I may have to have a site to put this stuff up on.

Nice stuff there! I'd say you guys are just about ready to make the jump to a digital SLR.
