I have a stock 99 kx125. I purchased a PC shorty silencer for it.

Should I put it on w/ the stock pipe? or should I wait until I have enough money for a PC pipe?

Also, do I need to change my jetting when I do this?

If you are supposed to change it, but I dont, will the bike run any worse than stock? or just not at its full potential of the new silencer/pipe combo?

Thanks...

Ahhhh... My area of expertise 99 Kx125's! The shorty silencer will help with your low end power. It was tap some of your top end power, but not much as the KX stock pipe is mostly up top. My advise is to get the PC motor work and head mods and keep your stock pipe with the mods, it works great. Enjoy!

OK, I guess I'll put the silencer on now then... what about the jetting?

I know the stock settings arent the best, but is it necessary for me to change the settings?

Thanks for your help.

just a silencer shouldnt change jetting TOO much. However, if you want to get the best power you can, then you should evaluate your jetting settings.

Maybe you can get Team Green HI PO reports from your dealer or call T/G They had all kinds of jetting specs and different things you could try .
