We recently purchased a used 2000 KTM 50 SX Junior for our boys and are having quite a bit of difficulty. Currently, it seems that the engine is not getting enough gas. It ran fine for about a half hour, then sounded like it was going to stall. It then had a difficult time starting, sounded like it was losing power, and now won't start at all. We checked the spark plug and it is getting a spark. There is a drop or two of gas coming out of the overflow tube when the bike is moved around, so we know that gas is getting to the float bowl. We know nothing about these things and don't know what to do next. If this is something that we can fix on our own, I would definitely like to do that, considering we just picked it up from the shop yesterday.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to lend!

That's a really basic engine. Pretty much if it gets air & fuel in a reasonable mixture and has spart it should try to fire. I'm hopeful you knew that it runs on premix and had the appropriate ratio in it? Is the spark plug any color? (ie. white, tan, grey, black).
