On a 2002 KDX 200 it is between 28/1000 and 32/1000. I set mine at 30/1000ths. I think yours is the same.

As big a gap as you can run (that meaning well, correctly, without 'errors').
That said, you're better off with a smaller gap sparking consistently than a larger one that doesn't quite make it sometimes.
I gap mine @ .030.
'Total loss' systems (like dirtbikes have) are known marginal sparkers.
I vote for the kawi manual. Well worth it...and not all that spendy in the first place.
