Hi everyone is there a technique for ridin in bogs.
The other day i went into a big pond/bog and as i was coming out i got stuck and my bike started screaming from revving.
I was in second gear so i dropped down to first and just drove out.
I ride a Kawasaki KLx 250 four stroke.
Is there a technique to prevent this.

When I had my XR250 I would stand up and move my weight back over the rear end. It would help to force more downward weight onto the tire and give you better bite. I have learned that with small bore thumpers momentum is EVERYTHING! Always keep moving, once you stop your as good as dead. Good luck and keep the speed up!

Keep a finger or two over the clutch at all times. If the wheel breaks traction and starts to spin, slip the clutch a little - but don't pull the lever all the way in. You want to keep putting some power down so that you'll continue moving forward, but you don't want too much power as the wheel will spin.

Basically, try to keep the throttle constant and use the clutch to modulate the power.

The best way through a bog can BE achieved with 5 easy steps:
1. Buy a big old truck(i.e. Chevy K30)
2. Buy the biggest rat motor you can find(at least 500 c.i.)
3. Buy 44" Super Swamper Boggers
4. Buy 3" body lift kit and 6" suspension lift kit.
5. Install motor, lift kits, and boggers on truck and have some fun.

If this doesnt work then buy a boat.
