Let me say first the you LMC members did a great job(far better than I had hoped as this was my first Jack Pine) of providing some very excellent race trail!!! My fear was that we would be spending alot more time on ORV trail than we did. For the land you have to work with, (compared to Marquette) I am not sure you could have done any better!!! This was a very fun race for us from Ohio for a couple of reasons. 1. This was our first non-restart format enduro which provided a new element to deal with on the roads and 2 tracks. (Pure Fun!!!) 2. Awesomely tight, hard to find single track that tests your riding skills. (Fantastic!!!) Here are a couple of questions I would like some help with from you Club members: 1. Why did they throw a check out? (I heard the people at the check got flustered and quit) 2. What did they separate the A/B's from the C's in the last section? The trail was very easy and fast. The A/B trail was approx. 3.5 miles after riding a 100. The C guys had to ride the same approx. 100 then 1.5 after the split that wasnt scored if I understood the route sheet correctly. I did not see the logic in this. It would seem they could race another 2 miles. If I am correct that they were not scored after the last restart, why did they have to wait to restart for a section they were not scored? I am just curious and still learning all the in's and out's of enduros so I apologize if my questions are stupid! I made a painful decision to were blue tinted goggles at the start of the race which caused me not to be able to see for crap in those first 4 miles on the club grounds. I rode terrible and kept missing my lines. Sorry to Mike Maurer for missing the first freakin' turn to the left out of the gate causing me to drive right thru the yellow tape that had been strung up on the trees in the first turn. Here is what I remember hearing: Mike M.: (pointing to left) "Turn left, Turn left." Me: Now turning a little left and heading for the yellow tape because I had no depth perception with my blue tint goggles on. Mike M.: (Arms flailing to the left)"Furthur left, Further left." Me: Too late and driving thru tape tearing it down. Me: "Sorry bout that!" It was a great day of riding!!!
