power lost

I have a 99 kdx200 that lacks power throughout the power band and sputters near the top of the power band. Could it be the power valve or maybe the top end?

Sonuds like simple jetting will fix everything. If it sputters really bad on top than it is probably the powervalves. Does it burn coolant?

no, i changed the jetting and cleaned the carb w/ the same results

sounds like you silencer could be restricting to much air (clogged)

have you checked your compression? What is the value??

compression is fine, but the silencer is dripping oil out the back so i'm going to repack it first before I tear it apart

Here is my theory:

1) gunked up power valve
2) gunked up silencer
3) Too many big lunches at Vittarelli's
