Hi Guys

My 99 RMX powervalves are now really worn out, the anodising has worn through and they rattle in the powervalve bores. I cannot/do not, want to pay £450 (nearly $900) for a new set of powervalves.

I have access to a lathe and EN56AM and EN58AM steels, so I am considering making a 2 piece powervalve from these materials. I was going to do this a year or so ago but a house purchase stopped this.

Any hints or tips? my main concern is wearing the alloy powervalve bores with the steel powervalve. Any ideas appreciated
