Preston goes down hard in Daytona practice

DC just phoned in to tell us that that Team Honda's Travis Preston crashed hard on the second lap of practice today over the finish-line jump. According to Davey, Preston went down really hard on his wrist. The early prognosis doesn't look good, as it appeared that he was visibly shaken and in a lot of pain.

Dr. Steve Augustine from the Asterisk Mobile Medic Unit was right there to take him off for X-rays.

Bummer I always hope for him to get on the podium ..just so we can hear the interview! :) hope it's not as bad as they think

I agree! Nothing was better than that race he won two years ago where he didn't know he won. Classic Preston!

So when do the haters come out and start calling him Travis II ?
Knee, then comes back with a collarbone, now this. Come on you guys, let's hear about how he can't keep it on two wheels, rides over his head, goof-off, etc. :p

That rant aside, hopefully it's nothing too bad, the guy just got his factory ride and it's just not going well :(

PSSSSSTT: Preston was out in practice session two (after the injury reports) and seemed to be turning decent lap times..... don't count him out, yet.
