I just bought a 2002 CR 80 the other day. Everything runs smooth and it seems to be in good shape. When i shift from fourth gear into fifth, it revs out as if im shifting it into neutral, and it doesnt lock into fifth gear. 1st through 4th gear work fine. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

try adding more force when you shift

Yeah. That's the ticket. Just force it. :coocoo:

Most likely a bent shift fork like MXer666 said. Don't try to force it. It will only bend the fork more. Also, make sure your clutch is adjusted properly and not slipping. Your clutch is more likely to slip in fifth gear than in any other gear.
