I've made and installed a bore separator plate on the reed side of the slide on my 2003 RM 250 and the pilot and needle are way rich. So rich it will barely pull itself rich. Using the guide at http://www.carbparts.com/ I have decoded the stock suzuki jet needle ( N8RH) to a Keihin part number ?DM.
D for a length of 36.6mm and M for a diameter of 2.71mm. The first letter in the Keihin part number designates the taper and I have no idea how to decode the needle taper from the goofball suzuki part number.
Anyone know where the taper designation is hidden in the stock marking ( N8RH) and how to decode it? Thanks for any help, Michael.

I could not figure it out either. They were easy on my bike, but I dont have the n8r needles.
Btw there are some old threads on jetting the 03. The stock 01 needle and a 7.0 slide and leaner pilot was what worked good. Also if you call sudco or carb parts I am sure they can help you get the needle your looking for.
