Question for FredT

I think I remember you saying you had Tag X-5 CR High Bends. Any problems fitting the inner EE/Fredette/Bark Buster mount, if that's what you use?

Anyone else's experience's with this bar/handguard mount combo would be appreciated.

If I understand your question

are you referring to the plug that inserts into the bar? I have Fredette handguards with EE plugs ($9.95) with no problem.

If you are referring to the mounting bracket that attaches to the bar nearest the triple clamps then I did have to bend the hand guard a little to get it to mate up but no big deal. I cut 1/2 inch off each end of my bars too. I used a pipe cutter.

Thanks, and sorry about the confusion. I was referring to the mounting bracket that attaches to the bar nearest the triple clamps.

I'm nearly certain that the Answer Bark Busters, MSR Deflectors, and maybe even the Fredette handguards are made by Enduro Engineering. My MSR Deflectors came with instructions that had Enduro Engineering printed at the top.

I just bought the Moose hand guards and bark-busters. Also very nice combo. In fact, it appears that the bark-busters are identical to the EE ones.
