Question for Jeremy Wilkey

On my new 03 KTM 200exc, as I was installing the 4.2 springs, I was refering to my WP manual that came with the bike. The manual for the fork indicated that the oil level should be set to 110mm min and 150mm max. Wanting a "plush feel on the trail junk ( I ride mainly hare scrambles ) I set the level at 140mm, and reasembled. Then I went to my KTM owners manual for a baseline of where to set the clickers, and discovered that KTM's recomended oil level is 100mm! Will my 140mm oil level have any adverse effects on my fork, or am I OK for now ( my 1st ride will be Sunday). What range of levels can be safely experimented with? Thanks for any light you can shed on this dilema.

Mike,
The oil level you used was from the older models with the 43mm fork, If you bottom out or oil out at the top of the stroke, you'll need to add more.

Anywhere from where you are now, to where you want to go which would be maximum..

Jer
