Well IMO you need to brush up on jetting skills. Not being sarcastic but you need to know when to change. To run on the ragged edge with a 125 or even a 250 you need to be willing to jet almost every few rides as the air temps and density changes.

Personally I jet at 70-75 degree weather and low humidity with the choice of fuel I want and an oil ratio of 20-24:1. At this point I lean out every circuit to a point performance suffers. Top end pull you get a pop, pop etc. Then I go one step richer. I lean out the pilot until it is no longer crisp out of a turn...etc etc.. Now I have a base line, this is done normally with stock timing. As the temps change I will tweak by Oil Ratio to 16:1 when I need to lean the mixture a tad or 24-28:1 to richen the fuel/air ratio. I also blend another fuel in now and then. Once temps get more than +/- 10 degrees the wrenches come back out..

If you do not take the time to do alot of testing and adjstment you are playing with a time bomb... How lucky are you ???
