Hi:

I have a few questions I would like to ask

- what happens with the I.D. of a coil spring when it compresses, does it increase or stays the same?
- has anybody tried a teflon sleeve surrounding the sock body (in order to minimize spring deflection -not as anti rubbing device-) and in such case what have been the results?
- what type of paint do you use for repainting coil springs?
- I would like to try to do some turning on the silasto bump stops and try a few things, do you know of some company that produces such stops (besides OEM)?

Thanks.
Pedro :)

I believe the id of the coil spring expands as it compresses. I haven't seen those teflon sleeves. Most OEM springs are compressing straight enough to avoid rubbing the shock body; in my limited experience. PJ1 makes some paint that matches OEM frame colors, but any metal paint should be good enough. Pro Circuit manufacture some elastomer bumpers, perhaps race-tech too.
