Quick fork oil question

What weight oil is the equivalent to Yamahas "01"? Is it 2.5 wt?

5 wt is the equivelant to 01

Thanks dell30rb. The Yamaha dealer said that instead of paying $23 for Yamaha's oil that the 2.5w would be equivalent. I thought it was way to thin.

Also, Would Mobile1 ATF be to thick of oil for the forks on my '98 YZ125? Would I have to lower the oil level, or just keep it the same as usual?

I have no idea. I would stick with the regular oil. You dont have to pay 23 bucks for oil from yamaha. My honda dealer sells 5 wt for 10 bucks for 2 quarts.

Look in some catalogs for it. They have it in the dennis kirk catalog.
