race bikes and trail bikes

back in the day not too long ago 2t were race bikes and 4t were trail bikes. now the 4t is the race bike. So does that mean the 2t is now a trail bike? Or are most trail riders also on 4t?

I have a 4t for race,tail,and hillclime but whant a 2t for play and to us for crazy stuff!!!

I think I would prefer a 4t for trail riding

For recreational (ie not overly aggressive or fast) riding or motocross I think a thumper is the way to go. For racing offroad in the woods the two-stroke is still king. Both motors have their place.
