Race gas prices

My local distributor wants $8.75/gallon for VP C-12.

I'd be interested to know if this is in line with what everybody else is paying, or if this guy is price gouging. I haven't purchased race gas in a few years.

I never have actually bought race gas, but I want to say the last time I looked, it was around 9-10 bucks a gal. here. 45-50 bucks for a 5 gal. can. I could be wrong though.

$32-34 for a 5gal drum of Philips TT111 (B32) here.

Firepower 324 oxygenated (similar to Phillips B35) is $40 for a 5 gallon sealed drum in the Chicago area.

That price was for VP C-12, I want to say U-4 was a little more.

Sounds like the price here is in the ballpark as far as C-12 goes. Guess i'll go buy some after work.

Our local bike shop sells C-12 for $43.50 for 5 gals=$8.70 a gal.

Sunoco Supreme (?) Race gas (the blue variety) is $4.699/gallon at a local station (they have a pump).

Funny thing is, it was $4.299/gallon when 87 unleaded was $1.059/gallon. Unleaded has doubled in price and the race gas went up 10% in price. Works for me.

My local dealer whats $50 before taxes for a five gal can of C-12. I drive down south 40 miles and can get it there for $43'ish after taxes. it pays to shop around.

Rich: do you have any info on Firepower distributors?

$4.50/gal for Sunoco 110. Of course I haven't ridden in 3 months so that price may be wrong now.

TT 111 (b32) is $4.90 per gal in our area as of 8-15-05

just to update this thread, c-12 in Corona CA went for $45 for 5 gallon=$9per g.

I will be trying the sunoco supreme this weekend as it is sold for 6.95 per gallon, anyone else made this switch?

Who is your distributor? I'm in Ohio, so I might be able to get that.

I paid $4.75/gal for 16 gallons of 110 Renegade Racing Fuel, but the price has since gone up - I'm not sure how high yet.
