I was looking at resleeving my cylinder on my cr250 and it was going to be like 280-300 bucks. It was cheaper for me to order a new cylinder from service honda. I think a new rm 125 cylinder is around $400. Either way it sucks. Good luck.

you could always have it replated.performance and reliability with plating is far superior to steel sleeves.if all you need is plating done i believe it costs around $200

I thought I read or was told that a sleeve will cost you about 3% power loss over plating? Not sure how much truth is in them numbers but every shop I talked to when I was considering what route to take told me a sleeve will reduce power slightly. Nice thing about sleeves though is you will be able to bore it out a few times for I think it was 45 bucks around here.

Yeah, you can bore it, big deal. It will also wear out faster and interfere with the heat transfer out of the engine. Get it replated. The engineers who designed the engine designed it to have a plated bore, not a steel sleeve, so stick with how they designed it.
