Rear axle nut size

Hello all i was wondering if someone could tell me what size the rear axle nut on my 1997 kawasaki kdx 220 is. I don't seem to have a wrench big enough to fit it. Thank you

i think its 26mm on my yz125. dunno if its the same on your kawi

My KDX200 is a 27mm, might be the same. Grab a tape measure and measure accross the flats.

27mm. Be sure to use a box-end, not an open end (or worse adjustable wrench).

If you've got a bike, you might as well spend the 3 bucks and go buy one at the auto parts store. Money well spent!

Get a 1 1/16" 6-sided socket at Sears. I guess you have a 1/2" drive ratchet handle.

By the way, 1 1/16" is 26.9875mm. Sears doesn't have a six-sided 27mm socket (besides an impact socket).

Get a 1 3/16" socket for the steering stem nut (30.1625mm).
