After riding hard and almost bouncing off the bike a few times, I stopped and noticed the shock was pissing oil everywhere. My question is are all the RM 125/250 shocks the same? I am watching a few on ebay right now and don't want to buy one from a 2003 and have it not fit my 98'. How hard is it to install one of these anyway? Thanks as always guys!

Time for servicing and a new seal. It's not all that difficult to do, with the most difficult part being finding someone to charge it with nitrogen. It's always good to have a manual, and seal kits are easily available. We do a cleaning and service once a year..... who knows, perhaps the used shock you want to buy will be ready to blow it's seal too. Your rear shock is a maintainance item.
