I see Moose makes a reed spacer kit for a 2000 RM250.
It states it helpsshift the torque curve to favor the low and mid-range band. Wonder if its more hype than torque. Anyone have any imput on this?

My buddy has one on his '00 RM250 and says it's a waste, but oddly enough he still sports it. He said he noticed the biggest difference by buying 3 exhaust rings and shoving them up there with the existing one (4 total). See part #1 in diagram:

I sported one on my 00' Yz125, a bike that would definately benefit from some bottom-end:) And I definately noticed some added torque. I think its one of those things that bike/brand specific, doesn't work for all types, but works very well of some. Its a cheap try at about 30 some bucks I believe. Like Faded said the o-ring trick works well too. I also noticed an improvement from bottom-end orinated reeds. Its all relatively inexpensive mods, do them one at a time and see how much of a difference each makes. :thumb:

My buddy says the spacers/gasket thingys cost him like $3-4, so if that doesn't work then I'd plot down the $30 for the reed spacer...

I doubt any kind of reed spacer would be suitable for your type of riding.
ie: under 6 miles per hour.
