Has anyone installed the reed spacers that advertise more bottom end? If so, how well did they work, and did it cause any problems bolting up the airboot, or any other problems for that matter?
dmcc.
I just added a couple extra gasket to the reed cage assembly. Use yamabond between the gaskets to ensure a tight fit. Not necessary but a nice touch.
You can also add an extra exhaust gasket to the pipe side as well.
A lot cheaper and you can always add/remove gaskets to tune.
There was a noticable gain in bottom end grunt on my 200.A very noticable gain.
But then again,,,,I'm one of those riders who adjust the air screw 1/16 turn at a time(several time a day) to get the best performance.
best of luck
Joe
Joe, I assume since were talking about reed spacing that the extra gaskets went between the cage and the engine and not the carb? Also does this help as much as power reeds? Thanks, Darren
