I installed a set of Boyesen Pro Series Reeds in my 92 YZ250, the Bike worked better than ever for about 10 hours of trail riding. All of a sudden the bike began to backfire, spit and just run like crap. I played with the carb and stuff but i couldnt get it to work much better. When I got the bike home I decided to check the reeds and I found that one of them to be no longer sitting flat on the cage. I flipped the reed over and tried the bike again it ran great again. Is this a common problem with these Reeds, and is it ok to just flip them over.
