Replacement motor for kdx250 91

Are there any options for replacing the kdx motor for a kx motor of the same year or any year?

If so,what mods are needed to fit into the kdx's 91 frame.

any feedback welcome

If anything.... it is usually done the other way around.

I have a beautiful 92 kdx250 sitting right here in my garage...I'll sell it to ya! :)

^ only if ya give me the motor kdxchick;)...

So do both motors have the same mounts?......hardly any kdx 250 motors here in Aust. but heaps of kx motors.

The '91-'94 kdx250 sold here in the USA was basically a mildly ported '88 KX250 motor with wide ratio tranny, thicker head gasket, heavy flywheel and lighting system. I think an '89 KX would interchange as well, and possibly '90 and '91. I've never heard of anyone making the swap, but I my guess is an '88 KX250 motor would drop right in.
